Fueltrax continues to grow its presence in the Middle East by partnering with the Saudi National Maritime Academy (NMA), a top-tier training and certification center for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s maritime sector.

The initiative recognizes the significance of crew involvement in successfully implementing sustainable practices at sea and begins with cadets preparing to embark on their careers as deck and engineering officers. The objective is to introduce these cadets to fuel optimization tools they will encounter during their offshore operations, thus equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to actively contribute to sustainability and fuel optimization initiatives.

NMA Managing Director Turki AlShihri says,

“As an institution of higher learning, we believe in empowering our students with the knowledge and skills to shape their future and the world they inherit. Teaching sustainability and fuel efficiency is a responsibility we embrace wholeheartedly. By instilling a deep understanding of these principles, we nurture environmentally conscious leaders who will drive positive change and pave the way toward a greener, more sustainable future. Together with Fueltrax, we can support cultivating minds that will preserve our planet for future generations.”

CEO Fueltrax, Anthony George says,

“Even with best-in-class technology, sustainability is only fully realized when a vessel crew fully embraces the solution. There is no better place to familiarize mariners with these best practices than at the maritime academies from which they launch their careers at sea. NMA is demonstrating leadership by including industry representatives in their training program, and Fueltrax is proud to be the first to partner in this effort.”
